Alice In Wonderland; The Real Ending
Ever wondered what Maru Youkai does at 2:15 in the morning? Well now you know! She writes twisted endings for random fairy tales!
Now I know most won't like this at all, and I know this from experience. As for you fellow twistosterones (twistosterones: People with twisted minds) I was quite proud, and I hope you will be too! Enjoy!
Where we left off: Alice has just walked out of the Mad Hatters tea party and into the Bizarre room. In the actual story, she is the perfect size to reach the key and fit through the door. In my story, it is not the Bizarre room she walks into, but straight into the "Beautiful Garden", except in my story its not the Beautiful Garden but a desolate wasteland, with dead trees and dried bushes everywhere. From here she meets the queen and the story continues as normal, until she gets to court. When she confronts the king and queen she is banished from Wonderland, but she runs and finds herself in the Bizarre room. She takes a bite out of one of her mushrooms and grows small enough to reach the key and fit through the door.
Smiling, Alice reached up and took the key.
"Of all the trouble I've gotten myself into," she said to herself. "This almost makes up for it." Taking the key from it's place, she walked over and opened the door. There it was, the wonderful garden, so beautiful, so peaceful, so safe. But there was something wrong.
"Odd..." commented Alice, as she stared at her own reflection. There was the garden behind it, but why could she see herself? She looked behind her. It was the same dark, gloomy room it had always been. Reluctantly, she reached out a hand and touched the image. It was solid!
"It was a trick! An imagery!" she cried, outraged. "All the trouble I went through to get here, and it was all a sham!" She sat down on the floor, tears springing in her eyes. "Now what am I going to do?"
In a sudden fit of rage, Alice stood and took the stool that stood beside the table that held the bottle marked "Drink Me" and the key to the marvellous doorway. Overwhelmed by all that had happened, she flung the stool into the curious mirror, and watched as it broke and shattered into a million tiny peices. She whipped her arm to her face, sheilding her eyes from the flying glass. But the mirror was not all she broke. As the glass shattered, so did the peculiar world, and everything around her slowly but surely dissolved, and when she looked up again she was floating in black nothingness.
"Oh dear! Now what have I done? What shall I do? What shall become of me?" In a panic, she could do nothing but float. Float in the black abyss she had sent herself into. Float through all traces of time. Float in a world without meaning, without feeling and without existence. She lost all knowledge. Knowledge of previous events, knowledge of who she was, knowledge of where she was.
For how long Alice floated, no one can be sure, but after what seemed a very long time her feet touched solid ground, and the darkness began to clear. Shivering, she tried to focus on her new surroundings. An uneasy feeling of familiarity swept over her. Slowly, the shadows faded, and she found herself underneath an overhanging tree. Stepping out, the place she encountered seemed more and more like something from a dream. But then, the who was to determine what was real and what was not? Afterall, the things that had happened to her recently would've felt very much surreal, if only she could remember them. Walking briskly, she found an old mansion and stepped inside, strangely knowing exactly where to go. Enchanted, Alice walked straight through the halls of the palace like house, right through to the front garden. It was set up as though the owners of the house were expecting guests, and there was a an old fashioned timer sitting on a corner table by the front door. Alice reached out and touched the pendulam, sending it ticking away, back and forth, and Alice became entranced by its movement. Quite suddenly everything came back to her, right before her eyes, as if a movie were running inside her mind. The party, the reluctantness to sing, the white rabbit, the peculiar world, the beautiful garden, the mirror, the black abyss. Alice gasped and yanked her hand away from the timer. Exhausted, she fell in a dead faint, a deep sleep, never to open her eyes again.
