An Angel Of Another Kind

I shot my angel and made her cry,
I broke her wings so she will be forever mine,
I held her down, I kept her warm,
But the heat was too much for her sensitive form.

She wanted love, I gave her more
Then what she could've asked for,
She wanted freedom, I let her run,
I should've kept her, what's done is done.

My angel, she ran far into the night,
She thinks she's safe but she's in my sight,
I'll save her from herself, cut her off from the world,
I will be her beloved and she will be my girl.
